transformative team. POSITION TITLE: Research Assistant I POSITION
SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated Research/Bioinformatics
Assistant to support transcriptomics data analysis projects. Work
under general supervision, independently and in collaboration with
others perform research and conduct a wide variety of standard
laboratory procedures for projects; analyze data and interpret
results; investigate, troubleshoot, and modify methods and
procedures as necessary; may assist in designing experiments; may
provide routine equipment maintenance as well as guidance/training
to other department personnel. RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES: Will
perform single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and spatial
transcriptomics (Visium HD) data analysis. May also analyze Xenium
data, using Seurat and RStudio, as well as Python or CDIAM
software. In addition, the Assistant will help with bulk RNA-seq
data analysis. Assistance may be given for unusual problems and
normally reviewed for application of sound professional judgement.
May provide interpretation and initial analysis of results. Perform
other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required or
assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant
scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education,
training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill
and abilities have been attained. Requires 1-3 years experience.
Candidates possessing a Master’s degree, 0-2 years experience
required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position works in a
laboratory or vivarium environment. Details of established
essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed
during the interview process. COMPENSATION: The expected hiring
range for this position is $20.07 to $25.06 per hour, commensurate
with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that
