Position description
The Department of Pathology (http://pathology.ucsd.edu) at the
University of California, San Diego School of Medicine UCSD is
committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and
student body and is seeking Assistant, Associate, or Full Project
Scientists.
The Project Scientists will be responsible for conducting studies
and overseeing research projects related to the activity of
tissue-type plasminogen activator. The selected candidates will
perform experiments using cell culture model systems, in vitro
biochemistry model systems, and animal model systems. Opportunities
to collaborate, teach, and supervise other individuals in the
laboratory will be made available if such opportunities exist.
Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist
level will be based on the candidate's background and
experience.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidate must have an MD or equivalent, MD/PhD, or PhD or
equivalent in Molecular Biology, Cancer Immunology, Bioinformatics,
or other related disciplines.
Preferred qualifications
Candidates with a least 1 year of experience in fibrinolysis are
preferred.
Candidates with a minimum of 1 publication in a peer-reviewed
journal are preferred.
