Join a dynamic and diverse team supporting the military as part of your day to day dutiesWe are seeking a reliable and hard-working Laborer Ship Provisioning to join our team in San DiegoThis position plays a crucial role in the successful operation of provisioning ships with necessary supplies and equipment for their missionsOur Laborer position participates in the Ability One program; allowing individuals with significant disabilities to work in various positions within our Government Contracted positionsBenefits Health and Welfare Benefit Dental and Vision coverage option PTO days based on contract Responsibilities:
1Assist with loading and unloading provisions unto various naval ships.
2Ensure accurate counting and recording of all incoming and outgoing items.
3Sort, organize, and label supplies and equipment in designated storage areas.
4Pack and secure supplies for safe transportation.
5Prepare orders and validate accuracy against shipping instructions and documentation.
6Conduct inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and assist with inventory management.
7Complete and maintain paperwork and records related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
9Follow proper safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
10Collaborate with team members and management to ensure a smooth operation.
11Provide assistance in other tasks as assigned by the SupervisorRequirements:
1High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
2Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
3Physical fitness and capability to lift and move heavy objects up to 60lbs.
5Excellent organizational and time management skills.
6Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
7Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
8Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members..
9Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:
1Forklift certification or experience operating a forklift.
2Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to warehousing operations.
