Job Description:
Arcetyp LLC is a growing small business that provides a broad
range of consulting services to US Federal Government, US Military,
and Commercial clients. Services include Management & IT
Consulting, Program & Project Management, and Professional & Admin

can't sponsor H1B. Arcetyp LLC is looking for a Pediatric
Psychologist. This position is onsite located in Okinawa, Japan.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The HCW shall perform the applicable
duties given in the Section C of the basic contract. Provide highly
specialized clinical psychology (pediatric) services to children
from birth to age 21 and their families; also provide crisis
intervention and acute inpatient care to adults through the Naval
Hospital Emergency Department, Wards 3 South and 3 East.
Administer, score, and interpret specialized psychological testing
instruments for children, adolescents and developmental instruments
for infants. Testing shall include assessment for developmental
disorders such as Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Asperger’s
Syndrome, Autism, and Mental Retardation; disruptive behavior
disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and
Oppositional Defiant Disorder; Emotional and Psychotic disorders.
Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments of individuals and families
through review medical/school records, interviews with the patient,
family members, significant caretakers, personnel and direct
observation in Outpatient Child Mental Health Clinic. Complete
written reports with implications of diagnosis and treatment within
prescribed timelines and according to guidelines prescribed by the
supervisor or higher authority. Diagnosis is made consistent with
problems identified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of
Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition, (DSM-IV). Provide outpatient
psychotherapy in a variety of modalities, including individuals,
families and group therapy. Collaborate with other disciplines
within USNH Okinawa, USAF 18th Medical Group, DoD Dependent Schools
(DODDS), the Commanding Officer and appropriate community agencies.
Collect data from all involved agencies as necessary to ensure that
services are being provided in a coordinated manner and to evaluate
the quality of relationships among the special needs child, family,
school and involved community agencies. Adult Services Provide
immediate consultation to aid in the evaluation and management of
emergent/urgent patient situations. Provide return consultations to
any requesting Naval Hospital staff healthcare provider; responses
to consultations for same day requests will be provided within 24
hours. Work closely with clinical staff regarding patient
awareness/wellness programs that are in relation to the mental
health field. Identify and diagnose the full range of adult
psychological problems as identified in the DSM-IV. Provide crisis
intervention and short term therapeutic services to individuals
admitted to the inpatient unit. Inform the Supervisor of any needs
of present and projected patient populations, optimal utilization
of personnel and material resources, training requirements,
implementation of policies, criteria and standards pertaining to
services. Obtain approval by the Supervisor and other higher
authority as determined by law and regulation. Become familiar with
and demonstrate awareness of the Bylaws of the Medical Staff,
Department of Defense TRICARE Program and the organizational and
operational policies of the MTF. Travel, The HCW may be required to
travel to provide services and /or attend in accordance with
Section C.11 of the basic contract. NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Be able to comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local
laws, Department of Defense, Department of Navy, Bureau of Medicine
and Surgery, and MTF instructions and policies. Proficiency in
Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel,
Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook Able to read, write, speak, and
understand the English language fluently and maintain good
communication skills with patients and other health care personnel.
A thorough understanding of the military lifestyle and experience
working with military family members. Working knowledge of relevant
military, state, federal, and local laws and resources. Highly
developed written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to commute to and from various locations as needed. MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: Shall adhere to the applicable qualification
requirements given in Section of the basic contract. Possess a
doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an
American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or
professional school. Successful completion of a psychologist intern
program. Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or
certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50
states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico,
Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Successful 2-year post-doctoral
fellowship in child or adolescent psychology from an APA accredited
program. Have a minimum of one year full-time experience as a
Clinical Psychologist (Pediatric) within the last five year(s).
Provide two letters of re commendation written within the last two
years attesting to clinical skills. A minimum of one of the letters
must be from a supervisor. The other letter must be from either a
clinic or hospital administrator, or a practicing physician.
Reference letters shall attest to the quality and quantity of
experience. The letters may also address patient rapport and the
communication skills between practitioner and patient and among
peers. Recommendation letters must include name, title, phone
number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual
providing reference. Min. Citizenship Status Required: U.S
