Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This role focuses on delivering specialized patient care and unit support within the operating room (O.R.) environment. Ideal candidates exhibit strong knowledge of surgical procedures, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring a high standard of care and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Adhere strictly to established policies and ethical standards governing attendance, patient safety, and professional conduct. Maintain up-to-date licensing, certifications, and complete all mandatory training within designated timelines. Provide exceptional O.R. patient care by anticipating surgical needs, assisting with dressings or casts, and following physician preference cards closely. Accurately document and communicate critical data, including surgical counts, instrument tracking, and updating surgeon preference cards. Take initiative to identify and resolve operational issues, contribute to process improvements, and participate in teaching opportunities. Flexibly work different or additional shifts as required. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active and valid nursing licensure with Operating Room Technician (ORT) experience. Demonstrated knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to documentation and compliance. Ability to act independently and fulfill responsibilities without direct supervision. Experience adhering to regulatory and facility-specific requirements.
