entireportfolio.InfrastructureEngineerWe are seeking an individual
with strong expertise in IT Infrastructure and will be responsible
for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and
maintenance of systems hardware and software related to
infrastructure services.Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Manage MACOM's IT infrastructure and related services.
- Provide technical recommendations for services performance and
reliability improvements.
- Provide technical leadership to Run function team.
- Handle day-to-day data center operations.Roles and
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Manage datacenters across North America ( particularly west
coast ) and beyond.
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, performing upgrades and
downgrades, troubleshooting, documenting infrastructure components
( Windows OS, Linux OS, Storage, Backups, etc. )
- Evaluate performance, monitor workloads, and analyze results to
ensure optimal operations.
- Develop and improve upon operational procedures and
standards.
- Lead/coordinate projects including new installations, upgrades,
retrofits, etc.Required qualities / skills:
- Windows / Linux administration skills
- Datacenter management ( including working knowledge of cooling,
power and other aspects ).
- Working knowledge of virtualization stack ( VMWare, Nutanix,
Hyper-V etc. ).
- Working knowledge of backup, restore and DR technologies (
Veeam etc. )
- Working knowledge of EDA / CAD tools related to semiconductor
business ( Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics etc. ) would be added
advantage.
- Partner with business to gather requirements and ensure needs
are being met.
- Recommends and develops mission critical solutions; makes
recommendations to address capacity constraints, performance
limitation on wide range of technologies.
- Project management: Ability to provide a thorough planning
approach to large scale projects. Ability to define physical and
logical resources needed to complete a project and meet deadlines.
Experience leading project teams.
- Interpersonal and communication skills: Capable of writing
proposals or papers, acting as a supplier liaison, making
presentations to customers, clients, and professional peers.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor.
- Willing to travelJob Qualifications:
- 8+ years related IT System Administration experience
- 10+ years of IT related experience
- Ability to work independently and in teams reaching high levels
of productivity.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrates strong work ethics.
- Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S.
Persons(U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents,

for this position.Other Special Skills:
- Relevant certifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree desired
- Experience working within the Semiconductor Industry a
plus.
- Contracts and vendor management.
